About Stonebrook Finno (HSH)

STONEBROOK FINNO was purchased by the Grills family of Berragoon Australian Stock Horses from Blake and Helen Finlayson as a yearling colt. He was broken in as a 2yo, and from the very beginning showed all the signs of developing into a premier performance horse.

As a four year old, he started his Campdrafting career under Dave Fenton, and, from only a few starts, he won a Maiden, and placed in several other competitions. Tragedy struck however, and an unfortunate injury cut short what was shaping up to be a promising competitive career.

STONEBROOK FINNO has been used extensively in the ambitious Berragoon breeding and embryo transfer program with great success. His progeny have taken up where their sire left off, and are proving to be exceptional performance animals with consistent wins in Australian Stock Horse halter and ridden events, the Campdraft arena and on the Polo and Polocrosse fields of Australia.

For those unfamiliar with Australian Stock Horse pedigrees, we would like to draw attention to some interesting facts to do with Finno’s own family tree. He is sired by LINDSAY, a household name in Australia, this stallion was very successful in his own right as an outstanding Campdrafter, before becoming a sought after breeding sire. His progeny include CHEVIN IVORY, the 2008 Warwick Gold Cup Campdraft winner, WATCHIRS STAR, the 2007 ASHS National Futurity Champion plus many others such as CHEVIN LEVI, WESTONS YAKKA… the list truly does go on and on!

His dam, STONEBROOK LIBERTY is by the renowned broodmare-sire, COMARA TOPLINE. COMARA TOPLINE mares are proven producers with mares like HOMESDALE TOPSIE: dam of five (5) stallions, all by WARRENBRI ROMEO, KNIGHTS VALENTINE, KNIGHTS TOP THAT, KNIGHTS ICON, KNIGHTS TOP SHELF and KNIGHTS SCOBIE. Also, DALL BAR SHES TOPS: dam of two (2) stallions, by WARRENBRI ROMEO line sires KNIGHTS NICHOLAS and KNIGHTS DARCY. GLENMORE PARTNERSHIP VERITY: dam of GLENMORE PARTNERSHIP BUSTER and HALLMARK STUD CLASSIC: dam of KNIGHTS REVEREND.

The WARRENBRI ROMEO / COMARA TOPLINE cross is well documented and through our frozen semen stocks, is available for the first time in North America.
